WHAT DOES A TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SPECIALIST DO?

The key role of a Technology Integration Specialist is to support the learning process while strengthening students, teachers, and staff's technology skills. They are responsible for carrying out research and advancements in technology tools and resources to inform decision-making. They also collaborate with teachers to compose effective technology-infused, content-based lessons and support them as they implement these lessons in their classrooms. They also provide technical hardware and software support when needed and perform other tasks that are assigned to them.

WHAT DOES A INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN DO?

An information technology technician, also known as an IT technician, is responsible for ensuring that all computer systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Their duties primarily revolve around installing and maintaining systems, including software and hardware, and resolving any issues. They also provide technical support such as troubleshooting, navigation, and even system upgrades.

WHO DO I CONTACT WHEN I NEED TECHNOLOGY HELP?

Technology Integration Specialists support administrators, teachers, students, and parents/guardians' technology skills.  If you need assistance with an application; have a question about student access to an application; or even how some features may work on your devices, please reach out to the Technology Integration Specialist in your building or email them to set up a time to meet or assistance virtually.  The best way to contact the Technology Integration Specialists is through email since they travel in between buildings.  During the school year, there is also online tech support available, LIVE AGENT, during specific times of the school day for online assistance.

IT Technicians can help with hardware issues (ie: breakage, battery issues, loss or non-working charging cable/plug, etc.). They can also help with network access at home and the self-service app on the iPad among other tech assistance.  If you are a staff member, the best way to contact IT for assistance is through our IT Tech Request system.  If you are a parent having an issue with your child's device, please call the IT Hotline at 716-427-2615.

WHAT IF I DO NOT KNOW SPECIFICALLY WHO I SHOULD CONTACT FOR MY TECH PROBLEM?

Please email the Technology Integration Specialist if you do not know who to contact for your problem.  We would be happy to help you or guide you to the correct place to find tech help.
