We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting registrations for Kindergarten eligible students for the 2020-2021 school year.

Dear Parents/Guardians:


Welcome to the Nazareth Area School District. We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting registrations for Kindergarten eligible students for the 2020-2021 school year.

Beginning Friday January 17, 2020, you can begin the registration process by going to https://registration.nazarethasd.org/ where you will be able to enter your child’s information along with your own. This process will take approximately 20 minutes. When you reach the end of this registration process, you will be prompted to select a registration appointment time. These appointments will be scheduled throughout the next several months.

Please be aware that when you come for your scheduled registration appointment, you will want to be sure to bring certain documents along with you, so that your child’s registration can be finalized. These documents include:

  • PARENT/GUARDIAN PHOTO IDENTIFICATION
  • PROOF OF BIRTH DATE OF CHILD (Must be 5 years of age before the first day of September)
    Any one of the following:
    • Original birth certificate
    • Notarized copy of birth certificate
    • Baptismal certificate
    • Copy of record of baptism – notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth
    • Notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth
    • Valid passport
    • Prior school record indicating the date of birth

 

  • IMMUNIZATION RECORD
    Acceptable documentation includes:
    • Child’s immunization record
    • Written statement from former school district or from a medical office that the required immunizations have been administered, or that a required series is in progress
    • Verbal assurances from the former district or a medical office that the required immunizations have been completed, with records to follow

 

  • PROOF OF RESIDENCY
    Two documents must include at least one item from list A and one item from list B below:
    • One proof of residency from List A:
      • Lease
      • Mortgage Settlement Agreement with moving permit
      • Recorded Deed
      • School Property Tax bill
    • One proof of residency from List B:
      • Valid Driver’s License
      • Valid PA Identification Card
      • Valid Auto Registration
      • Utility Bill
      • Check Stub

For your planning purposes, please also be aware that your child’s Elementary School is planning to hold an informational Kindergarten Orientation for parents on the dates indicated below. Please monitor the school’s website for any changes to this schedule.


Floyd R. Shafer Elementary School: April 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
Kenneth N. Butz, Jr. Elementary School: April 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
Lower Nazareth Elementary School: April 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
