News Brief: February 27, 2023

On Wednesday, February 22, the Black Student Union collaborated with the Library Advisory Board to present a poetry reading celebrating Black History Month. This month originated in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson and coincided with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Fredrick Douglass. The event showcased NAHS students performing works by Black poets and hip-hop artists, including Maya Angelou, Nas, Tupac, and Amanda Gorman.
