Welcome to Shafer! I look forward to working with your child this school year! As the Title 1 Reading Specialist for our school, I enjoy working with students in small groups to help them grow and develop their reading skills. I am a graduate of East Stroudsburg University where I dual majored in K-6 Elementary and Special Education. I furthered my education at Kutztown University where I received my Masters in Reading. In my free time, I enjoy crafting and exploring outdoor walking and biking trails with my family.

Mrs. Leslie Collins
I have been teaching in the Nazareth Area School District for the past 15 years. Currently, I am a Title I math teacher and teacher of the gifted. Prior to teaching in Nazareth, I taught for the West Orange School District in NJ for six years and served as an adjunct professor teaching graduate level education classes for The State College of New Jersey and Gratz College in Pennsylvania for 18 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Management and Masters of Education with a concentration in Math Education, from Rutgers University. As a Title I math teacher I help students understand mathematical concepts to foster their success. My goal this year is to help students have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, build confidence in their individual mathematical abilities, and have fun learning.
