    Hi!  Welcome to Shafer Elementary School! 

     

    My name is Mrs. Michelle Warren, and I am the elementary school counselor at Shafer Elementary School.  This is my 24th year serving in the field of education.  I have been counseling children for 17 years, and prior to that, I was an elementary school teacher for 7 years. 

     

    I began working in the Nazareth Area School District in August 2008. During the 2008-2009 school year, I served as the 6th-grade counselor at the old Middle School (now the Intermediate building). During the 2009-2010 school year, I split my time counseling K-3rd graders at both Bushkill Elementary School (now the Kenneth N. Butz Jr. Elementary School) and Shafer Elementary School. Since then, I have happily served as the full-time elementary school counselor at Shafer Elementary School!

     

    Before becoming a school counselor in Nazareth, I was a special education teacher in the Easton Area School District for seven years; and a school counselor in the Bangor Area School District for one year.  I greatly enjoy working with the students, staff, and community, and I am very proud to have the opportunity to do that here in Nazareth.

     

    I am married and reside in Bethlehem, PA.  I enjoy spending time with my family (including our 12-year old identical twin daughters), reading, and relaxing on the beach. Most importantly, I like to help others, especially children, to feel successful and happy in all that they strive to accomplish!
