  • Dual Enrollment (11th & 12th Graders)

11th & 12th graders interested in taking a dual enrollment course at Northampton Community College during the spring semester must complete this required form and submit confirmation of dual enrollment course registration (screenshot of class schedule from NCC Workday portal) to their counselor by December 15, 2024. If deadlines are not met, dual enrollment credits will not be accepted.

Prior to being able to register for courses, students must complete the NCC dual enrollment application process as outlined on page 3 of the dual enrollment information document. Students should return their signed FERPA & Approval form to their counselor. Once they receive their FERPA form, they will email the FERPA form and transcript to NCC.

NCC will be holding a Dual Enrollment Spring Course Registration Day at the high school on October 28, 2024. Students must complete all steps in the registration process prior to this date in order to participate. Registration information for the 10/28 registration date will be forthcoming.

*As a reminder, juniors may take a dual enrollment course to replace an elective course. Students must have earned 14 credits prior to the beginning of their junior year, be in good academic and disciplinary standing, and have a weighted GPA of 80% or higher.

  • Appointments During School

With our school year under way, this is a reminder that a parent or guardian must contact the Attendance Office prior to the student leaving for an appointment, preferably first thing in the morning or the prior day to allow for processing. Your child will receive an eHall pass to be excused from class and will be able to check out with the Main Office or Attendance prior to exiting the building.

Parents may contact the Attendance Office regarding an upcoming appointment using any one of the following methods: call the Attendance Hotline at 610-849-0874, email the Attendance Secretary at hsattendance@nazarethasd.org, or send a note to the Attendance Office with their student.

Please click HERE for further details and to see our Attendance FAQs, which is also linked below in the reminders section of the email.

  • Release Reminder

Students may find themselves off campus for dual enrollment, cyber courses, or study hall releases; however, we are NOT a school with "lunch release" privileges. Students are not permitted to exit and re-enter for their 30 minute lunch period. As seen on page 14 of the NAHS Student Handbook:

    Leaving School Grounds/Building
Exiting the school building or leaving campus without administrator permission. This includes leaving for lunch; students are not permitted to leave the building for lunch unless they have release before or after their scheduled lunch.

As further described on page 56 of the handbook:

    10. Students must remain on campus for lunch. (There is not a “Lunch Release” policy.)  Exceptions: If a student’s schedule falls into one of the scenarios below, the student is not required to be on campus for lunch:

    • Block 2 Study Hall, Dual Enrollment, or Cyber Course AND Lunch 1 (Students may remain off campus for lunch and return for the start of Block 3 class)
    • Lunch 3 AND Block 4 Study Hall Release, Cyber Course, or Dual Enrollment (Students can leave campus for lunch and remain off campus for Block 4)
    • Block 3 Study Hall Release, Cyber Course, or Dual Enrollment
