Mr. John Fidelibus-Principal

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Nazareth Area Intermediate School.  I have been a school administrator in the Nazareth Area School District for the past 18 years. I was hired in the 2006-2007 school year where I served as an assistant principal at Nazareth Area High School for 11 years. I then transferred to the middle school where I served as the assistant principal there for 7 years before being appointed as the new Principal of Nazareth Area Intermediate School replacing Dr. Joseph Yanek who will be retiring.  I want to share a little bit about my background and experiences that lead me to Nazareth Area School District. My career started out at Bethlehem Catholic HS as a Health & Physical Education teacher and wrestling coach. I taught there for 5 years before getting hired at Easton Area School District where I taught Health & PE at the high school for 4 years and then the middle school for 2 years. During that time, I acquired my Master's degree in Administrative Leadership and Principal Certification. The very next year I was hired as the Assistant Principal at Northern Lehigh HS . I was there one year before landing in the Nazareth Area School District.  I am very excited to be here, and I am looking forward to this school year more than any other year I have been in education.

Mrs. Jackie Bewick- Assistant Principal

My name is Jackie Bewick, and I am thrilled to be back at Nazareth Area Intermediate School! I was a 5th Grade teacher for a number of years in our building, then a program specialist working with our English Language Learners, and I can now gratefully add administrator to the list! I am excited to see so many familiar faces and families, and to make many more connections to our #aNAISing community.

I believe a successful school year is paired with providing a safe and nurturing environment. Here at NAIS, we take great pride in helping meet the individual needs of our students, and prepare them for the triumphs and challenges that lay ahead. Learning is not confined to a classroom, nor does it stop at the end of the school day. I, as well as the school staff, eagerly anticipate working with the NAIS community to make our school the best place to learn, work, share, question, take risks, laugh, respect, and care for one another. I look forward to working together in assisting our students reach their fullest potential.

Please reach out whenever you have any questions or concerns.
