Shafer Elementary brought the outdoors in with their Camp STEAM. Students and families were engulfed in a night of camping theme activities that practiced Math, Reading and more skills including completing STEAM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) challenges throughout the school. Students used drones, made crafts, built camp sites, fished for math facts, programmed robots and took a virtual camp trips on VR goggles. Our local community volunteered including Home Depot and the DaVinci Center! These talented students showcased their New Roots app—a vital tool designed to help immigrants find homes based on their personal preferences—to Representative Ryan Mackenzie as part of the Congressional App Challenge. 🏛️🦅💙
The team was honored with official certificates and their very own Congressional coins! We couldn’t be prouder of their innovation and creativity. 🪙✨💻


Due to the dangerously cold temperatures, all schools and offices in the Nazareth Area School District will be operating on a two-hour delay, Friday, January 30, 2026. Breakfast will not be provided tomorrow morning. AM CIT classes are canceled tomorrow. AM CIT students may report to the NAHS LGI for study hall for Blocks 1 & 2 and must attend NAHS scheduled classes for Blocks 3 & 4. All transportation will be operating on a 2-hour delay.

NAHS students, achieved SECOND PLACE at the Keystone STEM @colonialIU by constructing a portable, recyclable Deskcase. This innovative solution stores students' belongings and opens up on a desk, increasing the height of their workspace and allowing them to work while standing.
