Congratulations to Mrs. Amanda Netzley, Lower Nazareth Elementary School (LNES) Counselor, for being recognized by her colleagues as someone who goes above and beyond to help students and staff. Amanda wears many hats and is always there to help a student or colleague in need. One teacher said, “She is such a positive light at LNES and is truly irreplaceable!”
Amanda helps LNES students in so many ways; helping them learn to regulate emotions, keeping our school a positive environment, providing resources to students and families, teaching lessons on social and emotional skills, running Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and running the school’s giving tree program to help students in need during the holidays. She is also the first person many students see in the morning when they are dropped off - someone the kids can trust and depend on.
Amanda helps her colleagues by being dependable in emergent situations, providing positive feedback, and advising staff on behavior management and social skills for students. Although she is swamped being the only counselor in a school of 620 students, she always makes time to ensure everyone has what they need to be successful. The school environment would not be the same without her.
Our school district has employed Mrs. Netzley since 2015. She graduated from Milton Union High School in West Milton, Ohio. Mrs. Netzley earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Wright State University and her School Counseling Certificate from Texas A&M Commerce. Amanda and her family, husband Lance, daughter Isabel, and son Sam, live in the Nazareth Area School District. Her hobbies include being outdoors, watching kids’ sports, viewing movies, and spending time with family and friends. On behalf of myself, the Administration, and the Board of School Directors, I would like to thank Amanda for her hard work, dedication, and the many hats she wears to service Blue and White.
