A home education program (commonly known as homeschooling) is a program where the education of the student is directed by the parent or guardian or such person having legal custody of the child or children. Private Tutoring is different from homeschooling. For example, in private tutoring, the tutor must be a PA certified teacher. To learn more about the differences between homeschooling and private tutoring, please review the PA Department of Education’s Home Education and Private Tutoring.
